Matthew graduated from Newcastle Dental School and distinguished himself early in his career as the Regional Heat Winner and National Finalist in the Royal College of Surgeons (RSCEd) Dental Skills Competition. His passion for restorative dentistry has led him to complete multiple postgraduate courses, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative Dentistry with the highly regarded Tipton Training Academy. He also has a strong interest in short-term orthodontics and offers treatments such as Inman and clear aligners. He also has a keen interest in restorative dentistry, particularly larger cases and ‘quadrant dentistry,’ where multiple teeth are restored in a single treatment plan. He also enjoys smile makeovers and orthodontics, alongside providing a full range of general dental care.
Matthew first joined Brunswick Dental during his foundation training year, where he had a fantastic experience and built strong relationships with the team. He values the welcoming environment and the mentorship he received from Nigel throughout his career. Now returning to Brunswick, Matthew is excited to provide high-quality, patient-focused care and bring his enthusiasm and expertise to the practice.
Outside of dentistry, Matthew is highly active in sports. He competes nationally in powerlifting and is also a national champion in pickleball. When he’s not training, he enjoys playing the guitar and exploring the North East countryside with his partner and their dog.
